Blog Stalkers Issue # 8

Happy Back to School!! Ugh, that statement sends chills down my spine when I think of homework time with the kids. The time usually includes tears and fist pounding. Not all of it by my 3rd grader either. There is this little element added to schoolwork that I know you have all heard about. Common Core. This isn't a post for it or against it. It is a post to help you as a parent deal with it. This months blog find is actually a website that is very helpful in all things Math. Khan Academy is a great site to go to for yourself or for your kids. Khan Academy Common Core Map https://www.khanacademy.org/commoncore/map Khan Academy- https://www.khanacademy.org/

Hello, Crystal here! Summer is winding down, school has or will be started very soon. But that doesn't mean we can't have fun! One of my boy's favorite things to do is treasure hunts... and fall is perfect for that! Not too cold, not too hot and still want to spend as much time outside as possible before it gets too cold. We've done the more traditional treasure hunts so when I ran across Skip To My Lou's Paint Swatch Scavenger Hunt, I knew I had to write about it. You can bet we'll be doing this this fall! But that's not it! Within the post, Skip To My Lou offers MORE fun things to do! What fun things do you like to do in fall?
