STITCH GUIDE
ch(s) - chain(s), sc - single crochet, dc - double crochet, st(s) - stitch(es), sl st - slip stitch, sp(s) - space (s), sk - skip, YO- yarn over
SPECIAL STITCHES
Picot- Sc, ch 3, sl st in sc all worked in same st.

NOTES
Use the G hook to work sc around straps on flip flop. Use H hook for the main portion of the pattern. You will be working from front V of the flip flop towards the back of the shoe. Need to make a smaller or larger size flip flop? Just increase or decrease the number of picot rows in the pattern.




PATTERN  (make 2)
G Hook (see pictures below for placement)
Start with loop on hook. Outside edge of flip flop facing you starting at strap end near heal area. Begin with sc around strap by moving hook under strap, YO, bring hook back towards the top, yarn over and pull through loops completing sc.  Continue scing along strap towards toe area. dc around toe and continue working down other side. Fasten off. Weave ends (40 sc each side) (80 sc)


H Hook
Row 1: Flip flop front facing you- Attach with sl st to 3rd sc on right side of toe (at the Y). ch 3, sk 3 sc along left edge, sl st to 4th sc..

Row 2: Sl st in next 4 sc’s along left side, turn, ch 3, picot in ch sp, ch 3, sk 3 sc along right edge, sl st to 4th sc. (1 picot)

Row 3: Sl st  in next 4 sc’s along right side, turn, ch 3, picot in ch sp, ch 3, picot, ch 3, sk 3 sc along left edge,  sl st to 4th sc. (2 picot)

Row 4: Sl st in next 4 sc’s along left side, turn, *ch 3, picot in next ch sp; repeat from * across to last ch sp, picot, ch 3;  sk 3 sc along right edge, sl st to 4th sc. (3 picot)

Row 5: Sl st in next 4 sc’s along right side, turn *ch 3, picot in next ch sp; repeat from * across to last ch sp, picot, ch 3; sk 3 sc along left edge, sl st to 4th sc. (4 picot)

Row 6: Sl st in next 4 sc’s along left side, turn *ch 3, picot in next ch sp; repeat from * across to last ch sp, picot, ch 3; sk 3 sc along right edge, sl st to 4th sc. (5 picot)

Row 7: Sl st in next 4 sc’s along right side, turn *ch 3, picot in next ch sp; repeat from * across to last ch sp, picot, ch 3; sk 3 sc along left edge, sl st to 4th sc. (6 picot)

Row 8: Sl st in next 4 sc’s along left side, turn, ch 1, sc in first ch sp, *ch 2, sc in next ch sp; repeat from * across to last ch sp, sc, ch 1, sk 3 sc along right edge, sl st in 4th sc. Fasten off. Weave ends in.
