ch(s) - chain(s), sc - single crochet, dc - double crochet, sp(s) - space (s), sk - skip

SPECIAL STITCHES
Foundation DC- Chain 3. Yarn over, insert hook in 3rd chain from hook, yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop (1 chain made), [yarn over and draw through 2 loops] 2 times- foundation double crochet made. * Yarn over, insert hook under 2 loops of chain at bottom of stitch just made, yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop (1 chain made), [yarn over and draw through 2 loops] 2 times. Continue around from *.


NOTES
Pattern worked in the round. Starts with a foundation dc to allow up to 2” stretch.

PATTERN  (make 2)
Round 1: Start with a foundation dc of 52 sts, join with sl st to first dc. (careful not to twist yarn) (52 dc)

Round 2: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (52 dc)

Round 3: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (52 dc)

Round 4: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (52 dc)

Round 5: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st sc to join. (52 sc)

Round 6: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st sc to join. (52 sc)
Round 7- 11: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st sc to join. (52 sc)

Round 8: Sl St in each stitch around, join. Fasten off. (52 sl st)

Accent Piece (make 2)
Row 1: Ch 12, sc in 2nd stitch and each stitch across. Ch 1, turn (11sc)

Row 2 - 3: Sc in each stitch across to end, ch 1 turn. (11sc)

Row 4: Sc in each stitch across to the end.
