SPECIAL STITCHES
Foundation DC- Chain 3. Yarn over, insert hook in 3rd chain from hook, yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop (1 chain made), [yarn over and draw through 2 loops] 2 times- foundation double crochet made. * Yarn over, insert hook under 2 loops of chain at bottom of stitch just made, yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop (1 chain made), [yarn over and draw through 2 loops] 2 times. Continue around from *.
Picot- Sc, ch 3, sl st in sc all worked in same st.

Pattern worked in the round. Starts with a foundation dc to allow up to 2” stretch.


PATTERN  (make 2)
Round 1: Start with a foundation dc of 56 sts, join with sl st to first dc. (careful not to twist yarn) (56 dc)


Round 2: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (56 dc)


Round 3: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (56 dc)


Round 4: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (56 dc)


Round 5: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (56 dc)


Round 6: Ch 2, dc in each stitch around, sl st to 1st dc to join. (56 dc)
Round 7: Ch 1, sc in same, * ch 5, sk 3 sts, picot in next; repeat from * around to end, sl st in first sc to join. (1 sc, 13 pc)


Round 8: Ch 5, picot in the first ch 5 sp,  *Ch 5, sk next picot, picot in next ch sp; repeat from * around to end, ch 2, sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 5 to join. (14pc)


Round 9: Ch 5 sk first picot, picot in next ch 5 sp, *ch 5, picot in next ch 5 sp; repeat from * around to end, ch 5, sl st to beginning to join. (13 picots)


Round 10: Ch 5, picot in the first ch 5 sp,  *Ch 5, sk next picot, picot in next ch sp; repeat from * around to end, ch 2, sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 5 to join. (14pc)
Round 11: Ch 5 sk first picot, picot in next ch 5 sp, *ch 5, picot in next ch 5 sp; repeat from * around to end, ch 5, sl st to beginning to join. (13 picots)


Round 12: Ch 5, sc in the first ch 5 sp,  *Ch 5, sk next picot, sc in next ch sp; repeat from * around to end, ch 2, sl st to 3rd ch of beginning ch 5 to join. (14sc) (Ch 5 will allow for more stretch at this point, you will only work 3 sts in each space on next rnd)


Round 13: Ch 1, 2 hdc in first ch sp, hdc in sc, * 3hdc in next ch sp, hdc in sc; repeat from * around to end to last ch sp, hdc in last sp, sl st to 1st hdc to join  Fasten off. (56 hdc)


Round 14: Ch 1, hdc in each stitch around, sl st to join. (56 hdc)


Round 15: Ch 1, sc in each stitch around, sl st to join (56 hdc)

The Peekaboo Picot collection was inspired by living in a warm weather climate. It uses a Super Fine #1 yarn however it can easily be adjusted for a worsted weight #4 for those that live in cooler climates.
